Calculating Percentage of Weight Loss

Here is the calculation info on how to figure out your percentage lost:

NEW WEIGHT-OLD WEIGHT/OLD WEIGHT (new weight minus old weight divided by old weight) You'll get a negative number if you lost weight.

Example:

new weight: 110
old weight: 120
110-120= -10/120= -.0833
multiply this final number by 100 to get %

So this person lost 8.3%

We will report our cumulative percentage of weight loss from week to week - so keep that first starting weight written down somewhere. If you want to post your weekly percentage as well, that's fine too.
